Heard a new word today from a friend with a serious garden.  The family of vegetables that includes mustard greens, broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, turnip and radish is called, “Cruciferous.”  Since I had no idea what he meant when he said that he has planted all of his “cruciferous” vegetables in one place, I now feel a little smarter for the day.
